As a kid I was not into team sports. The idea of letting my teammates down was too stressful. So, I did sports where I could challenge myself and disappoint only me if I failed. I hiked, I ran, I skied always trying to improve. In my later years I took up weight training to stay in shape always trying to add reps. But I soon became aware of Mother Nature's cruel joke...even though I have muscles on my bones it now hurts like crazy to use any of them. Not giving in I decided to try wrestling, but after a match yesterday I woke up this morning with every muscle on my body screaming "it's not nice to fool Mother Nature". But I will not let myself down. Despite the aches I am going to hit the weights today to prepare for another match. Maybe with an even bigger guy this time.
