The owner has been subsidising for years and the upkeep is getting more. He also has superb facilities at home so doesn't come up North to use it a lot.
Often wondered about the financial costs of a matroom/ring set up.
It's something that if I ever had a windfall that I would think of doing.
It's a shame and a worry when you hear of wrestling spaces closing. Never been to Rochdale but I know many have had a great time and great memories there.
Unfortunately, I believe Rochdale is closing over the next few months.
I just wanted to put on record my appreciation to Bill for the facility over the years. It really was a great place to wrestle. I'm sure many of you feel the same way.
I fully understand why it's closing, and just wish there was another alternative wrestling space in the North.
