I've taken part in a couple of cockfights and one cockfight as a witness and timer for the rounds, so the general rule is that the guys agree to their rules before the cockfight.
It's pretty open-ended, generally. Some guys opt for first-to-cum loses, others for first-to-cum wins...There's different takes of standing, rolling, prone, etc. I understand swordfights are usually fought standing up, hard cocks.

I agree with PhoenixBigBear on this. There isn't a set definition really. Some guys call it fighting and it's clearly in their own description not a fight but a mutually pleasurable thing to do. Not an expert on the field. I have done three cockfights all in all. Two of them were "loser-cums-first" matxhes, where we grinded cock to cock and rolled on a bed.
