Father vs Son Wrestling

How did it start for you?

My uncle was a wrestler in high school. He went to the Navy and came back and I remember running up to him and he grabbed me and lifted me up and gave me a big hug. I was all excited to see him, and then he said, come on bring it in. So I jumped on him and he fell backwards and I remember trying to pin him and I remember getting my hands around his neck. And remembering how good it felt, feeling the Adam’s apple and squeezing it as he had a voice box like a golf ball like Clint Eastwood. I think that got me hardwired where I started to like to choke and strangle guys as I would grass with him and always he would hold me up, and I would try to choke him with my hands .

It's not father and son but I grew up with him and he took care of me every day, so I considered him like a father. My first boxing fight was with him, when I was 12 years old, and he was 26 years. He worked in construction and he was quite big.
He something that always caught my attention about him was that when he wore white tank tops he they showed the six pack abs perfectly stuck out the shirt.
One day I was alone with him, and that was when I found out that at my age he practiced boxing and he asked me if I wanted to learn, it was because of some gloves quite battered but they were useful for what they were and he started to teach me a few movements, the most basic. After a while he told me that it was time to box, he took off his shirt, and that was when I confirmed that he had a super marked abdomen and obliques that I had never seen before other than in photos. (I want to add that at that age I was already starting to get into the world of gutpunch and especially in boys' abs, so I was quite nervous) We started trying to box, and I really didn't focus on anything other than his abdomen, but he blocked the blows, and he only threw one or another at me, until I think he realized that only the blows were going to him. abdomen, so he stopped everything and simply said to me, do you want to learn how to steal from them the air out of your enemies? Or to throw hooks at the liver? and a huge "yes" came out of my soul hahaha, so he started to teach me how the correct technique was, while I was watching him teach me, I gathered up courage and told him that if I could practice them on him (he already had the idea of using his old "punching bag", but I think he felt the need that I had to practice them with him, In the end he was just an infant, I remember well that the first hit I gave him, it didn't do anything, he just laughed and told me, now do it well, and that's how we were, I easily hit him like 30 hits and he just laughed, so I told him that he could doing it without the glove (in my head at that age and without any contact with anything boxing, I thought the glove didn't hurt because it had pads) I was really frustrated, so I prepared myself and threw my best punch, what was the surprise? His abdomen was very hard, it literally looked like a "washboard" and he just kept laughing, so I started hitting him continuously, until my hand started to hurt, and I told him to stop because I was already starting to feel pain hahaha, that's when I He said, you have the other hand, continue.
Honestly, I was somewhere between frustrated and excited, because I was hoping to get the air out of him like in Dragon Ball, but I saw that I couldn't, until after a while of alternating blows with both hands, I couldn't anymore, they were super red, just like his I abstained from him, but he as if nothing had happened, we rested for a moment, and he asked me if I wanted to continue practicing, I told him that the truth is yes, but my hand already hurt, so he took the opportunity to teach me how to bandage my hands, and he He had the idea of filling them with a little sand, at the time I didn't understand, but I let him take control of the situation, so once all that was done, we started again, this time they didn't hurt as much, but The sand was a bit uncomfortable, but I could finally notice a small expression of complaint on his face, after so long. But we had to stop and pick up everything because other cousins were already arriving for work. After collecting everything, he approached me and told me that my blows were already causing him a little discomfort in his abdomen hahaha, but that if he wanted we could continue practicing, when no one was around, until he moved out of the country for his job, After 5 years, that's how we were practicing, a year later I got into boxing, then martial arts, and when I was 15, we started boxing in a gym that had a nearby ring, 3 years had passed since that moment, his abs They didn't disappear but his resistance did, since he only went running at night, and I was starting to get my first abs, a year later I already had my 6 abs, and the last year he was with us, now he was the one He "strengthened" my abdomen, applying the same sand glove technique, I couldn't hold it as long as he did, but we had fun and who knows, maybe he also liked gutpunch, until he had to leave, now 3 years later, We talk very little, and almost nothing about boxing.

From there, I love to see son vs. parents fight, and the son comes out the winner, and the dad defeated and getting tired without being able to anymore.

I had a mean, very abusive father, who when we would wrestle, never let me win and would most times physically hurt me to the point of tears.

I like to wrestle younger men and let them manhandle me and win, especially those that I have a significant size / strength advantage over. It gives them a lot more CONFIDENCE, from which I get lots of satisfaction.

If they are bigger, stronger and already confident, then I want to win and show them who's daddy.....

Thoughts?

I developed nothing. As far as I'm concerned, its all just a method of establishing positions in order to move the narrative forward. It could just as well be master and apprentice, e.g. teacher/student, or some other type of hierarchy.

In your case, I think you may be injecting some additional percentage of environmental and social behavior factors into the mix. A totally separate but not totally unrelated method of viewing the sport, or event, or activity.

Hello, first post here. My question is, do you know how you developed this fascination with dad vs son matches?.

I think for me, losing my father at a young age (he didn't live at home, and then he died suddenly). I think not having him there when I was growing up had something to do with it.

How? I wish I knew, all I know now is that whenever I have a match with someone around my age I always aim to win and am fiercely competitive... But when I take on an older guy (someone who could be my dad), I prefer getting my ass handed to me, it's kinda messed up really.
