Leaving the UK

So a big life style change and move is coming. 25 June I depart the UK for a new job and life based in Singapore but looking after the Asia Pacific region for my new employer. Exciting but also very emotional at the same time. I've wrestled plenty of guys in the region so plan to try and continue wrestling when I can but I leave behind some awesome guys in the UK that I have just had a blast teaching, having fun times with or occasionally having my ass handed to me (but rarely lol).
I am not going to mention lots of guys by name as there are so many in the UK but I would like to mention.
Musclneck. Bill or pop's as I like to call him is a legend. I could sit and talk to him about wrestling all day but once he has his gear on I just want to wrestle. Had the privilege of wrestling at his place many times and was please to be at his 70th birthday this year.

Jay219. I think our recommendation is probably more like a history book rather than a "he was safe sane and a good wrestler".
First met 4 years ago. I remember him looking terrified when i turned up but we soon hit the mats and his confidence came out.. Young and hot but also a quick learner. Our meets have been regular ever since and eventually taking up bjj together and both achieving blue belt last week. Si has become a very special person in my life that no one will ever replace. Having shared many fun, emotional, challenging and erotic times together I feel gifted to have discovered him. A couple of BJJ classes left but more importantly our last match alone in speedos is scheduled for this Saturday. It's going to be intense and emotional at the same time.
I'll be back and I know he'll be waiting, bigger, better and ready to kick my ass.

Will be in London Saturday and would be great if anyone is around and wants to joins us for a beer in the early evening. I'll let you know where in a day or so.

Cheers and keep the UK as the best place for wrestling.

OK, so this is by no means meant to be controversial or being put out there to provoke anyone, so please do not get offended and overly defensive. However, I will be interested to see if old people (whatever age that starts at) and young people (whatever age that finishes at) will be willing to contribute to the conversation.
Many of us have been wrestling a few years and i can confirm that there are some really good wrestlers on this site. Recently I read a profile of a guy in his late 20's (which was really old when i was 18 lol) who was inexperienced but in good shape. Although stating he is straight he does offer wrestling and a number of none wrestling services. He clearly says he is not interested in anyone over 40. I have seen him wrestling on another video site recently and I can only describe it as a frantic and at times worrying display of how someone will get injured but we were all rookies once.
Now, I have wrestled some bigger and smaller guys of all ages with exceptional stamina and strength. Yep, and not all of them look like cover models. I think the youngest on here was 18 and the eldest is 70. I like to think I am fit. I am not ripped but do gym 5x, bjj 2x and cage fit 1x a week. I've done Tough Mudder twice and can handle myself.
I suppose I can understand if a guy is gay or Bi that there can be (not always) a sexual expectation as well but this guy states Str8 and no sex.
So my question is - If your both fit, want to wrestle, gain experience, better yourself, why would a guy label an age requirement?

Thank you

I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind wishes following my recent operation. I am pleased to say that the recovery is going really well and am already back at BJJ and putting jay219 back through his paces. Competitive stuff if off the menu for a couple more weeks but light stuff is cool.
So what about the tumour itself. Well the great news is that it has now been confirmed as benign so I get the all clear.

Love this community and the support you offer. Thanks again and long live our sport.

cheers Mark

Saturday 8th June. South east uk. Well I trained for it and I am glad to say I completed the 11.3mile and 20 obstacles with my kids. Was a pure adrenalline rush all the way. The comradship amongst everyone was awesome as everyone encouraged each other and helped over walls and through knee deep mud pools. I'll post some pix tonight but i think your find tough mudder south east 2013 on youtube already if you want to watch the pain. I was probably 20 years senior to most of the entrants (i say entrant as TM is not a race its a test) but try me guys there is not one guy i have wrestled on here that couldn't complete it. How do I feel today? better than i did yesterday and am ready to wrestle tomorrow. Finally, Thank you to the guys the sponsored me. I raised £1200 for charity.

Cheers guys and hope to some of you there next year

Tough Mudder 2013

I thought about this for a long time then said too myself. Mark you have met and become friends with an incredible bunch of guys via wrestling and the adrenaline rush that challenging them gives you. Well, although i do not plan to retire from wrestling quick yet I have taken on a new challenge.

This Saturday 8th June i will be one of many guys/girls taking the Tough Mudder challenge. The money raised will go towards Help the Heroes a charity for troops returning from duty injured.

Other than the challenge itself I wanted to ask for your support. Below is a link for donations if you would be so good as to sponsor me.

Wish me luck and I'll post some pix Sunday/ Monday.

Thank you for reading this and your support
