I am contemplating setting up an audio podcast.

It's starring us all in the face. Male session wrestlers, Wrestling promotions, Media companies,Matt space, Ring closures and energy bills. These are the challenges facing us all on here today. A form of industry liberalisation. I came into this via the female session wrestling scene and my desire to escape and cosplay in Pro wrestling. Females session wrestlers charged money, this seemed to be acceptable and now there are male session wrestlers. I got in touch with one such member who considered himself as royalty and I thought He was joking that He wanted me to pay him for a session. Incredible I thought. Then I learned there are quite a few of them and some even produce videos and turn them out on a regular basis too. I have no problem with any of these facts, demand, supply and all that.

However, with the ever shrinking supply of mat and ring space regular or underground wrestlers now face a struggle to get a space booked. Space has reduced by 75% in London whilst arguably demand has increased. There is no easy answer to this as wrestlers find a way to counter act this latest move outside of their control.

To think its just a London issue is naive, Manchester needs to take heed as well. We may need to look at more local alternatives that could be used such a struggling gyms or martial arts centres in our towns. Perhaps Hotels and airbnbs may come into play too. They certainly used as 'apartment' matches back in the day.

Will We tap out or go for the ropes to break the current hold ?

With GP closed, I am finding it more difficult to arrange bouts as my working arrangements are unsociable. I am considering hotels as an alternative to mat rooms and ring venues as they are closer to home. I have never taken part in a bout in a hotel. Guys please offer your opinions, views and reviews for venues, best practice and safety please.

What did you guys make of it ?

In your honest opinion are you minded to agree that a 'no holds barred' bout evens out the odds against opponents regardless of skill, qualification and experience ?

Back in January it was weight training in lockdown. Then I reviewed my food diet. Then I stopped drinking alcohol (12th week) and now I am walking at speed.

I am now pumping for 20 minutes HIIT 45 kilos.

Getting shape for the right opponent.

I have been in regular private contact following a challenge from a wrestler. It moved into some trash talk and promises of who would win etc.

It then slipped into trash talk, to which I was blocked from contact.

So my question is...does this now count as a victory over a cyber opponent ?

Whilst We collectively fight the biggest battle Royale of our lives, it it is probably an ideal time to get some sort of home gym together. I know We would prefer to enter the squared circle.

So its out with the weights and hook up the punch bag and put on the trunks, lets train and be ready for what no doubt in the future will be the busiest wrestling roster ever !
