Following my comment about GLOBALFIGHT my account there was deleted because I "bashed them online" have you guys ever heard of anything like that outside North Korea??? I actually wrote "I hate globalfight" which apparently triggered some inane reaction from them: they call this "venom"...

This is far from unheard of.

In their defense, it is not a realistic expectation for them to continue to love you after you declaring your hate like that. Saying "Hey if you dislike our site so much then why would you continue using it", while shortsighted and knee-jerk, is not entirely unreasonable.

I half by used the site on over two years and just tried to log in as I wanted to get some pics back... Well here's an extract from their latest correspondence... " Someday when you grow up and decide to be a man and apologize for being a

Yes, same thing happened to me. I guess this is not a free country. No great loss...good riddance. The Kestrel told me he got nothing of bashing from the comments I posted at the onset. But it doesn't take much of anything to ruffle GF's admin. Instead of putting his energy into pleasing his customers, I am sure he spent too many hours going after them if they said anything he deemed "bashing."

I must admit i had nit seen your comments at that time, i can understand why they got a little offended now haha!

I used to have a GF profile, but deleted it well over a year ago, i'd much rather support a community than pay for a business (or be so restricted there is no point)

Whose comments? I merely wrote " I hate GF"... Then I wrote them a nice email asking them if they were north-Korean owned since they monitor what is being said online and they called me "a little bitch"... Honestly a business treating their customers like this is a real business!

This damn-near panicked me! Glad I'm not alone in the sentiment that Globalfight is one of THE WORST entities ever created, akin to certain political parties I will not mention (too bad THEY'RE not an April Fools joke!). Yeah. I have a legacy profile there, but only to track existing buddies...they will never have my support. This site is the Cadillac of all Web sites period. I agree this, if a joke, is probably in bad taste, but it surely brings out the truth!

Someone made a comment earlier about Global Fight Admins, I will say one of them ripped me off for a years membership than banned me from the site when I asked for a refund, I would have to say to anyone reading this, not to give them any money for their premium membership as they could do the same to you. If this was not an April Fools Joke, I would delete my profile immediately.

GlobalFRight wouldn't let you see other incoming messages (if indeed you could even get any there...who the hell wants to pay to even message someone?). But I agree - I would sooner delete here than put up with BS. Oh please say it isn't so! LOL

Got me for about a half a min. I do remember when this did happen to a site called Headlock Wrestling years ago.

Sure doesnt look like a joke to me. This site now LOOKS like Global. I actually dont have a problem with either site, have met lots of great wrestlers on both. If this is true then my only issue is the choice of Name, both called Global just makes things confusing.

When will it go back to normal? This is hurting my eyes!

Two possibilities:
This is an April Fool's joke and I'll get a good laugh out of it. OR
It's not an April Fool's joke and I will just hang up my trunks and never wrestle again.

By the way, I don't know if this is a counter-joke from the Globalfight side, but the admin over there sent out this message to (I presume) all its members today:

"Regarding the recent hack of Meetfighters we would like to assure you our data or user passwords have not been compromised by this vicious attack aimed at BOTH our websites.

"We at GlobalFight are constantly fighting off attacks each week and they have only gotten more intense the past few months as with ALL websites in the world.
If ANYONE knows how to contact the admin (or even WHO the admin or owners are at Meetfighters) please have them contact us so we may exchange data on hackers to build up both our defenses. We have been trying without success many times this year during waves of attacks to contact someone at Meetfighters in an attempt to exchange hacker data in efforts to build defenses against these assaults.

"PASSWORD NOTICE! Since many users have the same password on both sites we suggest changing your password on GlobalFight but NOT change it on Meetfighters till they have their site fully back under control as your passwords might still be visible to hackers till they fully have regained admin control."

I replied to this message and told the Globalfight admin that if this was their own idea of a joke it wasn't at all funny. It seems like it must be an attempt at humor, since how would they have known about a "hack" of Meetfighters while also claiming to not know how to contact the admin of Meetfighters? How would they even have found out about the "hack"?

Thank gawd it's a joke. I remember when XM Radio and Sirius merged; and both went downhill quicker than the speed of light. Same goes for most mergers which significantly reduce or eliminate competition. All the more reason to make sure this site is financially secure and keeps its current high quality. One way is to wrestle more guys here (hint, hint) and keep it friendly

This is an April Fools joke. The people in charge of global are capitalist fuck shits that charge you just to look at people and post your photos in their advertisements.

One of those rare days when my profile picture appears in the banner at the top of the page, and it's covered by that smug-ugly face.

A great hoax on the members. I made an early comment and left the box ticked to get notified of further posts.I later logged on to find over 70 messages which all had to be read and all had to be deleted.

I don't know whether this is a joke but it is a bad one if it is the case.
Reminds of the nightmarish when time when GF was the only option.
Now I hope this is a joke. If not the new owner can forget about my use of the site and forget about any donation from my side..

Some of my guys who started out wrestling w me 10 years ago also came from Re**n, and I have even introduced some daddy-chasing guys from Si***r D***ies to it. Before 'gay' itself self-destructed, I found a few there as well.

But by far, this here site is the best of all the sites to find genuine wrestlers and similar. Good to have competing sites; as it keeps them on their toes to have a better product. [Be funny as hell if all the aforementioned sites are part of one big conglomerate].

Wow I had no idea I was not the only one that panicked with this announcement. I closed my GF account a few years ago and don't intend to come back. I was very glad when I found MF. I'm a contributing member and will continue to do so.

Contributed at the silver level this year...will do so next year at silver---unless the site engenders at least 20 new wrestling encounters during the year and I go GOLD, or 40 encounters and go PLATINUM. It's called "incenting." :) Regardless, it's the best of the five sites which have, over the years, produced some wrestling for me.

Very good Admin, and everyone involved but happy it only lasted a day. :-)
