07/04/2018: A rematch with walsallgoodguy in the ring at the Wrestling Factory was a highlight of the April Grapevine Group meet, because this time I knew what to expect with the legend that is Ripper Roger. You can do what you like with him, twist him into shapes that a pretzel-maker would reject as too complicated, and there may be a need for an inter-bout change of trunks to something more suitably loud, but what you canʼt do is to get him to quit. (Scream, possibly, but quit, never.) Which does, of course, make wrestling him a lot of fun. Enthusiasm for wrestling is infectious, and I know a lot of people have caught the bug from walsallgoodguy because he clearly loves his wrestling. He doesnʼt hog the ring, but heʼs there at the beginning of the meet, and there at the end, and he sweats a lot for his sport in the interim. Heʼs also a super nice, friendly and outgoing guy and very welcoming to anyone new to our meets, which is a huge help, and I always appreciate his willingness to indulge my tastes towards submission rather than his more audience-pleasing pro. Safe, sane and sorted, a Manchester fixture, walsallgoodguy is highly recommended.

Finally met Asturfight last weekend in London. He was so nice to come all the way down from Cambridge. We had a sweaty and intense 2 hour subs match and it was good fun. Especially his arms are quite strong. Very nice guy, easy to talk to and reliable. If you have the chance to meet him, don’t miss it. Big recommendation!

WGN is a great wrestler. He is as gentle of a giant but he can be as tough as he wants. Skilled in many arts, also learning how to wrestle, he will be a person to deal with when he puts all of his skills together. He is starting to do that but has a fun jobber side of him. Watch out when he becomes a heel. He has an excellent personality, and goes with the flow of the match. It was great to have him workout. An hour workout went for 2.5 hours of pure fun. If you have a chance to meet him, do not turn him down, go for it, and have a great time.

It was truly an honor to wrestle this man. He definitely had a weight advantage on me, but I was able to put a few good holds on him! Great guy all around. We had fun chatting between matches. He’s very smart and just a really fun guy when you get to know him. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer! His signature finishing hold took my breath away - quite literally. A solid guy with a great body. I look forward to more matches with him!

Always good to see someone back in our wrestling family and the "boi" has come back bigger and better than before
Must admit got quite a shock! BB has become both incredibly strong and skilled and I definely came off worst in our first bout, just managed to hold my own in the second.
Is a sweet friendly guy, who delivers a tough but safe match and looks good in gear. Till next time
